Morzine in the French Alps is a fantastic place to spend the winter ski season, with direct access to over 625km of pistes and world-class snowparks in Avoriaz. The town scene is lively and friendly with a unique and buzzing nightlife. There are a variety of bars, clubs, coffee-shops and apres-ski to suit all tastes. There is a new indoor swimming pool in Morzine for the coming winter - close the shared accommodation. La Mairie have also put in a new funicular, linking the Gondola that goes straight up to the slopes of Super-Morzine and Avoriaz. Between 2 - 6th April 2012 there is a Basscamp festival which is bringing the two expanding worlds of snow sports and electronic music together to create an energy and atmosphere that has never been seen before in Morzine. By combining international DJs and one of the greatest alpine ski areas in the world, Basscamp festival is not to be missed!
